AI and Big Data
We are happy to announce that the German Center for Scalable Data Analytics and Artificial Intelligence (ScaDS.AI Dresden/Leipzig) will host the 8th International Summer School on AI and Big Data from from 11.07 – 15.07.2022. The school aims at graduate students, Ph.D. students, researchers as well as practitioners starting or being active in the areas of Machine Learning, Artificial Intelligence and/or Big Data. Within the program, we offer inspiring insights into various research areas by internationally recognized and well known speakers. Beside some highlights from our center, we also will have presentations by colleagues from the network of German AI competence centers.
This year we pick five major topic areas from ScaDS.AI and invite international experts to Leipzig to introduce to you to the field and give insights to latest developments in research. However, we also welcome speakers from the fields of graph AI and AI-driven entity resolution:
- Data Integration and AI
- NLP and AI
- Privacy and trustworthy AI
- AI in Medicine / Life Science
- AI in Earth and Environmental Sciences
The summer school will provide opportunities to exchange ideas and to discuss the topics with other participants and speakers. Within our program we will offer plenty of time to get in contact with the speakers and allow you to ask questions. Moreover the summer school hosts several social activities such as a city walk and a dinner in a traditional restaurant. This way, participants will be able to get to connect and partner with other international practitioners and researchers.
In addition to the official program items, we are planning a poster session. We will facilitate the presentation of 30 scientific projects of the participants in small pitch talks. If you are interested in participating in the poster session, please send your poster in A2 format and a short summary of the project to scads.ai.events@uni-leipzig.de. We will then provide you with further information.
