The Summer School is dedicated to an important but often overlooked aspect of sustainable development: the individual creative potentials and creative spaces in a global and highly technological society. Under the motto "(M)EIN GARTEN IM RAUMSCHIFF - UTOPIEN UND DYSTOPIEN: GEGENWARTEN GESTALTEN, ZUKUNFT WAGEN" (A GARDEN IN A SPACESHIP - UTOPIES AND DYSTOPIES: SHAPING THE PRESENT, DANCING THE FUTURE), the students, guided by an interdisciplinary team of teachers, will work intensively for a week in an artistic field of their choice. They have the opportunity to choose one of six different workshops. The practical work is complemented by lectures, panels, feedback rounds and discussions on the topics of sustainability, climate and society.
The exchange and the joy of experimenting with different artistic means are at the forefront of the week together, which ends in an internal tour where the interim results are presented and discussed. The aim is to strengthen self-efficacy and communication through artistic action in order to shape society, the present and the future.
