Aarhus Summer School in Music Neuroscience
The course is based on lectures by leading experts in the field, as well as independent study by students, practical hands-on sessions, group interaction with teachers and peers, presentations by students and some distance learning.
Prior to the course and during the first week, the students will be provided with selected literature and videos by the teachers and instructors, in order to achieve a similar knowledge base across participants. During the second and third weeks of the course, the students will follow lectures by teachers and actively participate in supervised teamwork that aims on designing experiments, analysing, and interpreting data, thereby utilizing the novel research knowledge acquired in the course. Furthermore, the course also includes an organized excursion to various brain research labs at Aarhus University Hospital, where the students would take part in demo sessions led by an expert in the respective methodology.
