Young Researcher Forum on Sustainable Biomass and Climate Change
The obvious changes observable in Earth’s climate can be directly connected to the past 150 years of industrialisation relying on fossil sources for energy and materials. The young researcher forum on sustainable biomass and climate change, SusBiC, is thought of as an opportunity to bring together especially young researchers of all the different disciplines involved in this complex issue. Also the second edition of SusBiC - the young researcher forum on sustainable biomass and climate change is thought to bring together especially young resear-chers of different disciplines involved in this complex issue. Realised in the context of the International Symposium On Wood, Fibre and Pulping Chemistry, SusBic this time aims at conferring to young scientists from academia and industry the knowledge to valorise at best lignocellulosic materials. The workshop will consist of introductory key lectures by renowned experts active in key areas of renewable biomass and biopolymer valorisation, presenting the transdisciplinary aspects that are needed for a holistic valorisation. A major aspect will lie on analytics, for analytics being the key factor for a promising, holistic valorisation. This special edition of SusBIC will thus also provide hands-on training on analy-sing the complex data sets encountered in the field.
