Advanced Analysis for Integrated Urban Development Strategies
ISTAR, an R&D Unit of ISCTE, organizes a 2-week intensive Summer School on Advanced analysis for Integrated development strategies related to urban planning and cultural heritage management (ADD_In).
Different techniques will be deepened to outline strategic project scenarios at urban and territorial scale, based on the critical understanding of spatial and semantic indicators related to the urban form and its social relations.
ADD_In presents an overview of future trends and research that include AI and computational systems through an inclusive, innovative, and interdisciplinary perspective.
Analysis of principles, research questions, and integrated application of computational analysis methods;
Identification of the configurational and visibility-related features of the built space as well as the experiences lived by its users;
Understanding of how to identify strategic action plan and potential beneficiaries in the context under analysis through place-based experience;
Training of graduates to monitor the evolution of technologies, tools, and techniques in this field in an autonomous, creative, and innovative way.
Participants will work on supervised hands-on projects centered on:
#Cultural heritage planning and management strategies
# Data Science Tools (Python, Introduction to Data Analysis)
# Computational Analysis Methodologies
