Hospital + The City
Coordinated by the European Network Architecture for Health, the summer school is organised in close cooperation with Technische Universität Berlin and Charité-Universitätsmedizin Berlin.
The interdisciplinary summer school focuses on central questions of hospital planning in a healthy urban context. Participants will explore the main campus of Charité-Universitätsmedizin, Berlin’s most prestigious hospital and one of Europe’s biggest university medical clinics, which is currently undergoing a dynamic reorganization.

Target group
The one-week course is aimed at professionals and master’s students who wish to deepen their understanding of the intersection of health care architecture, urban planning, health care management and public health. The summer school welcomes interested parties from various disciplines: architecture, urban planning, public health, life sciences, sociology and economics.
Course aim
The summer school includes site visits, group work and lectures from experts from research and practice in the fields of architecture, urban planning, and health care.

Upon successful completion participants will be granted
3 ECTS credit points by Berlin University of Technology.
