School of Archaeology in Abruzzo
The School of Archaeology in Abruzzo is an academic program offered by the University of Pisa in collaboration with the Superintendence of Archaeological Heritage of Abruzzo.
Students will receive intensive cross-disciplinary training, with lectures, laboratories, and two different excavation activities (Neolithic site and Roman site).
With our school, students will develop the basic framework of knowledge and skills for their future professional work in archaeology.

Course aim
The program aims to provide a qualified and up-to-date preparation concerning advances in modern archaeological investigation, especially in methodological aspects.
The school aims to offer participants an in-depth overview of European archaeology with a focus on Italian archaeology.
