Course aim

The primary aim of the course is to develop participants’ oral communication with a view to equipping them with those business communication skills that are required in the kind of organisations they are likely to work for in the future. Special emphasis will be put on improving the effectiveness of communication in meetings and presentations. Participants’ awareness will be raised to the intercultural aspects of human interactions at the workplace as well as the importance of appropriate non-verbal communication. Constructive feedback from fellow students and the instructor will enable students to develop during (and after) the course.
In addition to contact hours, participants will be expected to spend a considerable amount of time doing background reading and preparing their presentations.
Students will be able to learn and improve their skills in a safe and supportive learning environment and have some fun at the same time.
