The European Identity: Past, Present and Future

when 17 June 2024 - 29 June 2024
language English
duration 2 weeks
fee EUR 1200

Situated in Alsace, a region that played a significant role in the European construction, Strasbourg is home to several major EuropeanInstitutions. Numerous initiatives for European youth also take place in our city (European Youth Event, European Movement France, Young Europeans France, etc.).

As a result, Strasbourg embodies fundamental European values, and we are thrilled to share them with the participating students.

This Summer School brings together academic courses scheduled in the morning and cultural activities in the afternoon, with a focus on Europe and a hint of "French touch".

Course leader

A team of dedicated professors and experts from the University of Strasbourg

Target group

Undergraduate and graduate students

Course aim

When viewed from distant corners of the world, Europe is frequently perceived as a strong and unshakable union. But what does being European truly mean? How does one experience it in their daily life? How has this notion of “European identity” been constructed, and how can it evolve? These very inquiries constitute the aim of this two-week Summer School.
