From the initial idea to the practical realization of the finished film. In this 5-day workshop, you will learn the techniques of animated filmmaking under the guidance of filmmaker Alberto Couceiro. You will have the opportunity to deal intensively and practically with animation-specific topics, experiment with images and develop your imagination in this area.

The techniques of stop motion, lay animation, object animation and 2D animation are used for this. Post-production, editing and sound recording are also part of the workshop. Previous knowledge is not necessary.

Target group

The Animation Camp is aimed at participants aged 17 and over. Underage participants require the consent of their legal guardians. Previous experience is not necessary.

Course aim

The workshop is about dealing with the specific topics of animated filmmaking. After a theoretical introduction, the participants take animated filmmaking into their own hands.

Credits info

1 EC
This course comprises 30 hours of attendance time, which corresponds to a total of one ECTS point, recognized by the Film University Babelsberg Konrad Wolf. In order to receive these points, participants must present and critically reflect on their individual project, a cinematic exercise in the form of an animation sequence (without grading). After successful participation and an attendance rate of 80%, participants will receive a certificate confirming the award of ECTS points. Please clarify whether your university recognizes the credit points before registering for the course.
