Summer Intensives

The IAB Summer Intensives are unique and intensive professional performance training programmes. The emphasis is on American and British technical training, concepts and approaches to the performing arts. Each week includes up to 30 hours of specialist training and performance opportunities.rnrnThere are three IAB Summer Intensives:rnrnActing Summer IntensivesrnThe Acting Summer Intensives are designed to provide an intensive period of advanced vocational training in acting for those wishing to develop or enhance a career as a performer. The programme will be principally based around the work of Stanislavski although the programme’s aim is to support the student in developing their own approach to acting and performance.rnrnMusical Theatre Summer IntensivesrnThe Musical Theatre Summer Intensive explores all three of the principle components of Musical Theatre performance – Acting, Dance and Singing. It is designed to encourage an integrated approach reflecting the reality of the disciplines required. The Musical Theatre Summer Intensive is designed to provide a focussed period of advanced vocational training in Musical Theatre for those wishing to develop or enhance a career as a performer.rnrnDance Summer IntensivesrnThe dance course is a chance to work with many different internationally accomplished instructors in Ballet, Jazz, Street dance/Hip hop and Modern/Contemporary dance. Additionally, classes will explore choreography and performance.rn

The Summer Intensives are designed for the serious student or early stage professional practitioner (over 16 years old) who wishes to refine and develop their practice through a focussed period of study.

Fee info

EUR 425: The IAB Summer Intensives costs €425 per week (inc VAT). This includes the price of a morning and afternoon snack and a light lunch on each day. If you book two or more weeks you get a 10% discount on the total cost. A further 5% discount is available for those who book their place before May 31, 2013. The IAB Summer Intensives are only available on a weekly basis.
