Educational program “Machine Learning” of 2019 is a combination of previously DAAD-supported courses “Robotics and Data Mining” (2017) and “Data Mining” (2018). The program was transformed according to students’ feedback and demand.
During the course students practice and work with the following technologies: - Linear and logistic regression; - Neural networks; - Deep learning; - Generative models; - Image processing; - Text processing; - Basics of intelligent robot control; - Others.
After a short theoretical introduction students put their knowledge into practice by developing algorithms. As a final examination they develop their own project.
Russian language and culture courses are provided within the course. Classes for beginners and advanced courses (provided upon request).

Students with programming background (C++, C, Python, others), basic knowledge of mathematics and electrical engineering.
Upon completion students receive a certificate of a taken course, indicating the number of academic hours and credit points recommended, as well as study materials.
EUR 850: Fee includes:
- Russian language course;
- accommodation (at the UlSTU dormitory);
- meals (breakfast);
- entertaining and cultural program;
- transfer from/to the railway station/airport (Ulyanovsk).
DAAD scholarships are available for German students.
Tuition fee waivers for partner universities' students.
