The Course will deal with the main facets of Environmental law (administrative, international, civil, criminal and procedural), at the European and comparative level. Classes will be taught in English by professors from the School of Law of the University of Bologna and the Lewis and Clark Law School, Portland, Oregon.

Target group

a) First cycle degree/Bachelor - 180 ECTS (General policies and regulations D.M. 270) in the following course classes: L-14 Scienze dei servizi giuridici; L-21Scienze della pianificazione territoriale, urbanistica, paesaggistica e ambientale or First cycle degree/Bachelor of the same subject area, (General policies and regulations DM 509/99 and previous degree programme system);
b) Second cycle degree/Two year Master - 120 ECTS (General policies and regulations D.M. 270) in the following course classes: LM-10 Conservazione dei beni architettonici e ambientali; LM-35 Ingegneria per l'ambiente e il territorio; LM-48 Pianificazione territoriale urbanistica e ambientale; LM-75 Scienze e tecnologie per l'ambiente e il territorio; LM-76 Scienze economiche per l'ambiente e la cultura; LMG-01 Giurisprudenza or Second cycle degree/Two year Master of the same subject area, (General policies and regulations DM 509/99 and previous degree programme system).
c) It is allowed the inscription also to students of the degree courses mentioned above.
Other degrees in the field are also accepted, provided they are supported by qualified and documented professional experience or additional documented post-graduate training in the subjects covered by the programme.

Course aim

A deep knowledge of environmental law, in a comparative perspective, with reference both to the rules applied at the European and national level and to the judicial practices in this area of the law
