The ESC doctoral program brings together PhD students of the School of Criminal Justice (École des Sciences Criminelles – ESC, University of Lausanne) as well as any PhD student from a university delivering a PhD in forensic science or criminology.

Target group

International PhD students, doing their thesis in forensic science or criminology.
Please note that participants will be asked to present a part of their PhD research orally or through a poster.

Course aim

The aim of the program is to allow PhD students to develop their network as well as generic cross-disciplinary skills for successfully conducting their PhD research, but also to prepare them to their professional career. This objective is achieved by offering specialized workshops and activities. The proposed activities promote the active participation of the PhD students, for example by allowing them to present their work through lectures and posters sessions.

This is a non-credited course. Official certificates of attendance will be issued to participants who complete successfully this course.

Fee info

CHF 600: Costs vary according to room accommodation: CHF 800.00 for a single room, CHF 650.00 for a double room and CHF 600.00 for a triple room.

Scholarships

PhD students from a foreign university can apply for a grant covering the staying fees in Les Diablerets for the duration of the event (hotel in double/triple room + meal) – please note that the travelling fees are consequently not included in this offer.
