Athens University of Economics in collaboration with the Sustainable Entrepreneurship Center " Excelixi S.A " of Piraeus Bank Group provide the summer Course (Summer School) entitled «Cultural Heritage Marketing for Sustainable Tourism». The program focuses on how the cultural heritage of a country may be a springboard for its emergence as a top tourist destination worldwide through the use of modern tools and marketing strategies.

Target group

It is a summer study program (summer school) which takes place during summer and is addressed to anyone seeking, by visiting Greece to deepen their knowledge in the subject of Marketing with emphasis to management of cultural heritage (For example, undergraduates, postgraduates and PhD students of other countries, employees , etc.)

Course aim

Cultural heritage of each country is perhaps the most important variable that could contribute to the upgrading of tourism and sustainability. The object of the program is the study of how the use of appropriate strategies and marketing techniques by organizations considered part of the cultural heritage (for example, museums, archaeological sites, theaters, agro-tourist facilities, cultural institutions) can contribute to tourism promotion and sustainability of a larger geographical area (either in town or even country).
