This interdisciplinary course introduces you to healthcare innovation within the themes of healthy living and active aging. It covers both medical and commercial aspects of innovation, following two specific cases on diabetes and rehabilitation.

The course presents key theories, tools and concepts of healthcare innovation. You will learn how to analyze and develop solutions to some of the great healthcare challenges of our time under the guidance of leading experts and practitioners from academia and the industry from University of Copenhagen, Copenhagen Business School, Novo Nordisk, the Capital Region of Denmark and Erasmus University Rotterdam.

Based on novel teaching methods, the course takes its point of departure in an online course with quiz tests. The following 2-week on campus course includes intense group and case work. As part of the academic assessment, a competition for the best innovation and business plans is included.
