Preparing Global Leaders Institute is one of the four international leadership schools of the Washington-based Preparing Global Leaders Foundation. For six years, we have trained delegates maximize their potential and develop leadership and communication skills. The program seeks to prepare aspiring global scholar-leaders with the tools that are necessary for effective leadership in an increasingly complex world.

PGLI Delegates take short courses on political economy, international relations, diplomacy, foreign policy, leadership and communication (courses vary in a given year) from a distinguished, award-winning faculty. Beyond the classroom delegates are challenged to develop and demonstrate their skills in media, speech, parliamentary, and advertising simulations and competitions.

Target group

Citizens of any country in the world are eligible to apply before May 22, 2017. After this date, only Category B and Category C applicants will be eligible to apply.
Applicants born in 1981 and after.
All applicants must be either enrolled in a higher education institution or have already completed university level studies.
Young professionals are welcome to apply provided that they have completed at least first cycle of university studies.

Course aim

Prepare aspiring global scholar-leaders with the tools that are necessary for effective leadership in an increasingly complex world. PGLF is dedicated towards training leaders who can solve seemingly intractable problems, by fostering cultural fluency, a cross-disciplinary restlessness, and a comfort with uncertainty.

Fee info

EUR 1500: The full cost of the program is 1500 EUR covering tuition fees, accommodation, 36 meals (full board), special events, sports facilities, vocational trips, and local transportation. Delegates are responsible for travel arrangements and associated VISA costs (if needed) to Macedonia. Upon admission, all delegates will be provided with a PGLI Recommendation Letter to support potential fund-raising activities.
