From 3rd to 4th generation DHC networks
DHC+ Summer School is designed to provide a clear introduction to the district heating and cooling technology, operational issues, and consumer determinants in evolving energy systems.
Course leader
The DHC+ Technology Platform is the organiser of the Summer School.
The 5th edition is hosted by EnergyVille, an association of the Flemish research institutes KU Leuven, VITO and imec in the field of sustainable energy and intelligent energy systems.
Target group
Students and young professionals (with some relevant work experience in DHC)
Course aim
The purpose of the Summer School is to offer a unique course on district energy combining theoretical lectures with practical application, site visits and networking opportunities.
Credits info
Upon successful completion of the course, participants receive certificates issued by the DHC+ Technology Platform and Certificate Supplement specifying the detailed programme and how many hours of lectures, practical application, site visits and group work were included in the course. Usually, the programme comprises between 40 and 50 study hours. DHC+ recommends to grant the participant an amount of ECTS credits that equals the amount of hours.
