The Faculty of Law at the Ludwig-Maximilians-Universität – one of the leading law faculties in Germany – offers a unique remote summer programme for young lawyers and law students.

MUST programme will be hosted in the Law Faculty in the heart of Munich, a city with extraordinary cultural attractions, historical sites, and world famous beer gardens.

MUST does provide an in-depth introduction to German and European Law. The courses are taught by distinguished lecturers who are renowned academics but also practitioners.

MUST draws special attention to areas of law, which are of interest to foreign lawyers working in business law, i.e. German Contract Law, Competition Law and Tax Law.

Target group

With an ambitious scope, we assume that MUST participants will be prepared to work hard both in class and in individual study.

Applicants need to have an excellent command of written and spoken English. All MUST courses and lectures will be held in English and the exam is also expected to be written in English.
After the programme has reviewed your application you might receive an email asking for proof that you have successfully completed an English-language test (e.g. TOEFL or IELTS). English native speakers don't need to provide an English-language test.

To apply for this programme applicants need at least a basic university study of Law (minimum of two years). However, a law degree is not necessary.
