Prototyping is an important part of product development. A prototype gives the developers and the client the actual feel of a product. This summer course makes you familiar with different digital manufacturing techniques to make a prototype. With Agile Prototyping we take you a step further through a short-cyclic trial-and-error make process to get from idea to a fully functional prototype in a shorter time with less costs and less risks. Agile Prototyping is a philosophy that urges you to think with your hands, not with your head.
Tim Idzenga
The target audience ranges from the bachelor level to the PhD level. There are no specific requirements for knowledge on prototyping. This course provides you with tools and thinking that apply to a bachelor-, master- or PhD-project. The only requirement is that you bring a dream to the course that you want to prototype.
Our goal is to create an innovation experience that will give you insight in the pressures and demands of the real world. This course is extreme hands-on and deliberately experiential to develop the mind-set, reflexes, agility and resilience one needs in a dynamic world. You will receive intensive coaching from experienced coaches as you apply best practices for product development.
Learning objective:
To provide students with an understanding of Agile Prototyping and give them enough hands-on experience to keep on practicing and expand the making skills.
