Course aim

This module aims to:

- Introduce you to significant aspects of human anatomy and embryonic development and prepare you for more advanced studies in these subjects.
- Cover topographical anatomy and the embryonic development of the nervous, cardiovascular, respiratory, digestive, musculoskeletal, urogenital systems, and the limbs.
- Explain the first weeks of human development and the key principles of embryonic development.
- Examine the cellular organisation of tissues and organs.
- Deliver teaching through lectures, seminars on specialised topics, a small number of practicals, and an anatomy demonstration class by using anatomical models.
