About

The Summer School โ€œAncient Egyptian Astronomy, Archaeoastronomy, and Magicโ€ is a 7-day intensive academic program aimed to introduce the students to the study of ancient Egyptian astronomy.

Italian and international scholars will hold lessons on texts and objects employed in astronomical observations, magical and astrologicalpractices, astronomers and astrologists, and archaeoastronomy, introducing the student to the main instruments and topics and focusing on significant case studies.

The Summer School is designed for students and people wishing to deepen their knowledge of specific topics of Egyptological research. It is the third edition of the summer school โ€œAncientEgyptian Magic and Astronomy: Texts and Practicesโ€

The Summer School will be activated with at least 5 students. The maximum number of participants is set to 100 students.

The school will be entirely held online, via Microsoft Teams
