About

The FEBT Summer School Behavioural economics focuses on the development of analytical and critical skills relevant for developing a holistic perspective on behavioural economics. It specialises on evaluating current trends and future prospects in the field of behavioural economics, developing a holistic perspective on evolution, cultural differences and challenges of cooperation, as well as developing basic framework for analysing behavioural mechanisms of economic decision making, while accounting for psychological and cultural aspects in this process. The experts in the field provide the scientific and practical knowledge of theories and methods used in behavioural economics.

Course leader

Lena Malešević Perović is a full professor at Faculty of Economics, Business and Tourism Split, University of Split and Head of doctoral studies in Economics at the same Faculty.

Target group

- Graduate students in economics (or in the social sciences, technical sciences or science related fields) who intend to round out their knowledge in the field and use it in the proces of preparing dissertations.

- Holders of undergraduate degrees or students on last year of ther studies in economics or the social sciences who wish to study the field of behavioural economics.

- Researchers and professionals working in the field.

Course aim

At the end of the course the participant will be able to:
- Evaluate the current trends and future prospects in the field of behavioural economics
- Develop a holistic perspective on evolution, cultural differences and challenges of cooperation
- Develop basic framework for analysing behavioural mechanisms of economic decision making
- Account for psychological and cultural aspects in decision-making
