If the sea and the beaches are your second home, you will love our canoeing and stand-up paddle course!

In recent years, canoeing became the most popular attraction in the Cabo de Gata Natural Park, Almería. Because of that, knowing about nature preservation and basic security measures is crucial for this type of activities.

From a very privileged site such as Cabo de Gata, this course will focus on learning canoeing and stand-up paddle in the sea. During one week, a team of experts will teach you the secrets of the most popular water sports in Almeria, and you will be provided with the necessary tools to determine the proper conditions for making a route: maneuvers, guiding, security, and environmental care, among others.

Course aim

1. Knowing the fundamentals, basic terminology and characteristics of canoeing and Stand-up Paddle

2. Making fluently basic navigation maneuvers in kayak and Stand-up Paddle

3. Designing initiation programs for canoeing and Stand Up Paddle

4. Analyzing the conditions to be taken into account in the implementation of kayak guiding sessions

5. Adopting the main measures of conservation and maintenance of the material

6. Raising awareness on safety rules and nature conservation
