CineMusic Academy Summer Camp 2026 - Heek (Germany) & Zaandam (Netherlands) – August 3–9, 2026

The CineMusic Academy Summer Camp is an intensive international program for talented young musicians (ages 17–22) who want to explore the world of film music performance and production.

During a one-week residency at the Landesmusikakademie Heek (Germany), 37 selected participants will work with professional musicians, composers, and conductors from the CineMusic Orchestra. The camp offers daily orchestral rehearsals, section coaching, and workshops on storytelling through music, orchestration, and performance skills.

The program concludes with the CineMusic Film Music Festival on August 8, 2026, at the Bullekerk in Zaandam (Netherlands), featuring a spectacular concert of newly arranged film soundtracks performed live with projected film scenes.

The Summer Camp combines education, creativity, and performance in a vibrant, international setting — a unique opportunity to grow artistically, collaborate across cultures, and experience the power of music and film combined

Target group

Young musicians, Age 17 - 22 (estimate), Entrance level Conservatory. Your online audition will be evaluated by an assessment committee, focusing on technique, musicality, expression, and motivation. We strive to form a diverse, international ensemble, welcoming a wide range of instruments and musical backgrounds. An online audition is required

Course aim

The CineMusic Academy aims to bring the magic of film music to life through education, creativity, and collaboration. It offers young musicians an inspiring environment where they can develop their artistic skills, explore the emotional power of music in connection with film, and experience the joy of performing together at a professional level. Through workshops, masterclasses, and international exchange projects, the Academy encourages reflection on the role of music in storytelling while fostering personal growth, teamwork, and cultural understanding. By connecting education and performance, the CineMusic Academy strives to shape a new generation of musicians who can translate emotion into sound and share the universal language of film music with the world

Fee info

Fee includes accommodation, meals, rehearsals, workshops and concerts. Travel costs are not included and are at your own expanse.
