Circular Economy for The Energy Transtion – Experimental, Theoretical and Methodological Tools

About

The course aims to provide a multidisciplinary perspective on the circular economy approach for the energy transition to participants from a wide variety of backgrounds.
The programme focuses on the methodological and experimental tools that the circular economy can offer for the energy transition, addressing issues related to the conversion, storage, and use of various forms of energy. This demands a radical shift in technology, economics, regulation, but also in social acceptance, policy, and culture

Target group

Master's students, PhD students, company staff, and a selection of students from the CLM EC
Maximum 100 participants (40% UniPD, 20% national, 40% international)

Course aim

The course aims to support and educate students as they develop responses to this shift, with the possibility of contributing a position paper for the open access journal Sustainability and Circularity NOW.
The programme includes lectures, hands-on exercises, case study analysis, and group activities organized around thematic clusters: basic concepts, mitigation strategies, methodological tools, business models and case studies
