About

Climate action is urgent, and governments cannot do it alone. This summer school explores how businesses, cities, and civil society can deliver real impact and how to distinguish meaningful action from greenwashing. Join us and learn to assess integrity, work with real cases, and develop skills to shape credible, high-integrity climate action

Course leader

Target group

Master, PHD, Postdoc, Professional.

- Bachelor’s degree in relevant field such as environmental science/studies, sustainable development, climate science/governance,
international relations, political science, business administration, philosophy, law or relevant professional experience
- Basic understanding of environmental science or policy
- Keen interest in climate action
- English proficiency
- Willingness to work in diverse teams

Course aim

1. Provide an overview of voluntary climate action and identify key actors, mechanisms, and integrity challenges.
2. Apply conceptual and practical assessment approaches to evaluate integrity concerns such as effectiveness, greenwashing, accountability, and equity.
3. Create evidence-based recommendations for strengthening the integrity and real-world impact of voluntary climate action.
4. Collaborate in inter- and trans-disciplinary teams integrating diverse perspectives to analyse and design strategies for high-integrity climate action
