This module introduces the fundamental principles of clinical research, with a particular focus on clinical trials. You will learn how trials are designed, conducted, analysed and reported, and explore key elements such as randomisation, ethics and regulatory standards.
The module also considers related areas including health economics, data management and the role of patients and consumers in shaping research. It concludes with an introduction to systematic reviews and meta-analyses and their importance in evidence-based medicine.
