About

This course is offered as part of the Radboud Summer School in Social Research Methods, in collaboration with MethodsNET (a global network that offers excellent training in social research methods).

This course enables you to develop a robust comparative research design from A to Z: thinking comparatively, ā€˜casingā€™, case selection strategies, data collection/management and data analysis.

This PhD level course is open to all researchers aiming at bringing their research to the next level. It is particularly designed for researchers engaged in a comparative research project and facing concrete challenges in designing and/or implementing their project.

Course aim

After this course you are able to:

-Critically reflect on all steps of your comparative research project, and find pragmatic solutions to your comparative research design challenges
-Clarify your research goals and your ā€˜casingā€™ (defining your cases)
-Choosing the most appropriate case selection strategy, basic or more advanced
-Choosing the most appropriate strategy for data collection, management and analysis
