About

Asia, or the Indo-Pacific region (better said) is a perfect example of complex relations. One definitely hast to make an analysis on different levels, namely transnational, international and systemic, but also see at different dimensions and networks building those relations.

Target group

The course is intended for students of all levels.

Course aim

This course aims at providing students with basic knowledge of the complex international relations of Asia including introduction to geography, demography, socio-cultural, economic and strategic situation of the region. The role of the PRC, Japan, Korean Peninsula, Southeast Asia and the United States, as well as regional organizations may also be discussed.
