Conflicts and Geopolitics in the Black Sea Region

The programme will take place in Georgia, in collaboration with the Georgian Institute of Politics. CIFE and the Albanian partner will select a group of participants from countries of both the European Union and Albania. The working language is English.

Please note: We are confident that this Summer University will be maintained despite the current global situation. Should the general health situation require it, we will postpone the event. Registered students can either participate in the next or another summer course or will be fully reimbursed.

Target group

The course is oriented towards undergraduate students, in their second and third year university studies, but we also consider applications from graduate students and from young professionals.

Course aim

A balanced mixture of seminars, lectures, and cultural visits ensures an active involvement of the students. Participants have the possibility to work and discuss their ideas in an open atmosphere and within a multidisciplinary and international framework.
The CIFE Summer University is known for its level of excellence, the high level of both academic speakers and practitioners and the active involvement of the participants in all discussions and debates. This outstanding experience will undoubtedly provide the participants with interesting exchanges and mutual learning, deep EU expertise and relevant output for their CV.
