Corpo-real Summer School 2020

Are you interested in the theme ‘corpo-real: the study of the ever-changing relationship between human beings and space? Do you want to develop your design-based research skills? Or are you interested in the master’s Interior Architecture and do you want to discover what it’s like to study arts in the Netherlands? Then register for our Corpo-real Summer School.

This is the ArtEZ Corpo-real Summer School:
• Deepening your skills in the domain of the corpo-real through creative and design-based research
• Developing ideas by experimenting
• Working based on various research attitudes
• Getting to know various teachers from the Dutch and international professional field
• Additional social programme

Target group

Participants are Art & Design bachelor/master students or professionals.
Affinity for spatial design and sufficient command of the English language.

Course aim

In a week-long workshop you will work on research into space focusing on the relationship between the body and space. You will work based on various research attitudes: research by making, research by thinking, research by trial. You will be drawing, modelling, designing, working to true scale and documenting.

In the workshop you will be taught by Dutch and international teachers from the professional field of Interior Architecture and other disciplines. During the week you will also participate in a social programme, featuring activities through which you will get to know each other and the city of Zwolle. There will be a community lunch, an evening programme, an excursion and joint arrival and closing meetings.
