In this ‘advanced beginner’ course, we explore intersections between Intercultural communication, Diversity, equity & inclusion and Global learning. Using expert inputs, discussions, and application to real-life case studies, critical incidents, and challenges, this course provides a broad overview of the underlying concepts, models, and contributions of each narrative. The aim is to familiarise you with narratives that you may not yet have incorporated into your practice and/or scholarship.
Why Attend?
With the premise that the intersecting areas between the Intercultural communications, Diversity & inclusion, Global competence, and Global learning can enrich our work and strengthen how we help individuals, groups, and organizations develop across differences. Join into this course to familiarise yourself with the Differences narratives that you may not yet have incorporated into your practice and/or scholarship.
We will explore how and where there may be overlaps as well as where—and why—there are apparent gaps. We will then apply these insights and conduct, together, a multi-faceted analysis of real-life questions, challenges, and case studies to inform approaches and tools for supporting ourselves and others in developing across differences, engaging in meaningful dialogue, and improving connections.
