About

Digital twins open up many new avenues for developing interdisciplinary systems. A digital twin is a model that does not just represent a system but makes out an integrated part of that system, constantly interacting with it in real-time. Digital twin engineering means to develop and manage a system and its model hand in hand at the same time throughout their/its entire life-cycle, from design up to and including operations. This summer school provides students hands-on experience in digital twinning by actually making one for a logistic transport system and exploring its wider applicability
