This PhD level course is open to all researchers aiming at bringing their research to the next level. It is particularly designed for those who like to conduct quantitative research and are curious about intersectionality or are struggling with the application of it. Fields in which quantitative research and intersectionality are particularly cross-cutting are sociology, political science, gender studies, educational science, health sciences, (social) medical sciences.

Course aim

After this course you are able to:

- Distinguish and reflect upon the different ‘schools of thought’ regarding intersectional quantitative research.
- Pinpoint which statistical instruments you can use to answer substantive question on the interrelatedness of multiple inequalities quantitatively.
- Apply descriptive and regression-based statistical instruments from an intersectional perspective.
- Strategically think about publishing and applying for intersectional quantitative research.
