Dutch Language for German Speakers (A0 to B2)

Are you a German speaker who’s looking to learn Dutch quickly and effectively? Are you planning to work in the Netherlands in the near future? Our intensive Dutch Language Course for German Speakers will help you master the basics of Dutch language and culture in just three weeks. In a small class of up to 16 students with a qualified trainer you will quickly improve your Dutch language skills up to intermediate level (B2). You’ll also become acquainted with the basics of Dutch grammar and vocabulary, including the differences and similarities with German language.

In this intensive course we’ll work on your Dutch language skills using a variety of interactive exercises. Aside from the essential grammar and vocabulary work, expect lots of pronunciation practice, engaging group discussions and presenting, speaking and writing assignments. The course starts at beginner’s level and gives you all the necessary tools to reach level B2. In just three weeks you’ll be able to express yourself in Dutch without effort, to produce a detailed text on a variety of subjects, and to share a well-argued opinion on current affairs.

The Babel institute is situated in a monumental building in the centre of Utrecht. We encourage you to explore this beautiful part of the Netherlands in your free time and practise your newly acquired skills with Dutch locals.

Course aim

This course aims to improve your Dutch up to level B2, as defined by the Common European Framework of Reference for Language (CEFR). At the end of the course you’ll be able to:

comprehend the main idea of complex texts;
communicate fluently and accurately with Dutch native speakers;
produce a clear, detailed text on a wide range of subjects;
give your opinion about complex topics, including adequate arguments.
