Education: The Future of School

About

The summer school on education is a week-long program for students and practitioners. It will address the issues of effective teaching and mediating knowledge in the current world. We will explore the ways a teacher contributes to child development starting from the early days to the lifelong learning processes. We will explore the new trends in teaching, on examples from kindergartens and primary schools, and look into their effectiveness. As well as examining how other social agents – parents, tutors and peers (may) contribute to the education process. Beside the intensive lectures, the course include also social events, city tours, trip and museum visits.

Target group

University students, both undergraduate and graduate ,from the filed of psychology and education are invited to participate in the course as well as teaching practitioners.

Course aim

It invites students to learn about innovative approaches in teaching. Innovative approaches toward children’s well-being, soft skills teaching, and supporting children with special needs will be addressed. We will exchange ideas and seek answers to the questions, such as: What are the essential skills teachers should have? How can teachers motivate their students in the fast-changing world? What skills should be taught in today’s world? How to help students with special needs to reach their full potential? When it’s the right time to start teaching soft-skills? As a part of the program we will also visit a kindergarten with a good practice.
