Dear students, we are thrilled to announce an exciting new summer school at the Faculty of Law in Zagreb, dedicated this year to EU Climate Change Law. This brand-new program takes place fully in Zagreb and is tailor-made for students of law, political sciences, and environmental sciences interested in climate change regulation. Take the opportunity to study with fellow students from around the world at a course taught by top-notch academics in beautiful Zagreb and explore Croatia! Our Summer School will take place from July 1st, 2024, until July 12th, 2024.

Course aim

The aim of the Zagreb Law Summer School - EU Climate Change Law is to provide participants with a comprehensive understanding of the legal framework surrounding climate change within the European Union. By focusing on EU Climate Change Law, the course aims to:

Familiarize students with key concepts, principles, and regulations related to climate change mitigation and adaptation.
Explore the intersection of law, policy, and environmental science in addressing climate change challenges.
Analyze the role of legal mechanisms in promoting sustainability, resilience, and climate justice within the EU context.
Equip participants with the necessary skills to critically evaluate and engage with legal instruments and policy initiatives aimed at combating climate change.
Foster interdisciplinary collaboration and knowledge exchange among students, academics, and practitioners in the field of environmental law and policy.
Inspire participants to become proactive agents of change in addressing climate change issues within their respective academic and professional spheres.
Through a combination of lectures, discussions, case studies, and practical exercises, the course seeks to empower students with the knowledge, skills, and perspectives needed to navigate the complex landscape of EU Climate Change Law effectively.

600 EUR, The program fee for the Zagreb Law Summer School - EU Climate Change Law is 600.00 EUR. This fee covers: Administrative expenses Tuition fees Wireless internet access on campus Coffee and snacks during breaks Welcome dinner and farewell lunch Social and cultural events (such as sightseeing tours, pub quizzes, etc.) Study visits Welcome pack Please note that meals not specified above and accommodation costs are not included in the program fee. We recommend booking accommodation at student dormitories, which costs approximately 12 EUR per night.
