This course will be over five mornings with each half-day focusing on the most relevant topics in family litigation, namely
Cross-border divorce
Parent-child relationships including parental child abduction
Covid-19 implications on family issues
Family law and human rights
Cross-border maintenance obligations towards children
Property regimes of international couples
This course will provide you with hands-on experience on cross-border family cases and the recent jurisprudence of the Court of Justice of the EU and the European Court of Human Rights.

All relevant instruments in this field will be presented and analysed, by way of both lectures and case studies. You will benefit from daily workshops where active participation is encouraged. In the workshops, case studies will be discussed in small groups over the Internet.
