About

The Summer School, a one-week interdisciplinary and interactive program delivered in English, explores potential futures in sustainable agriculture through innovative models, tools, strategies, and designs. Centered on interdisciplinarity, it examines approaches from the exact and natural sciences as well as the humanities and social sciences, showing how these perspectives complement each other to support the transition to sustainable agriculture and address its associated challenges.

The program combines lectures and expert-led conferences with participatory workshops, field trips, and visits to regional specialties

International Master’s and PhD students with an interest in environmental issues

Course aim

Explore approaches including models, tools and strategies from the exact and natural sciences, as well as the humanities and social sciences, that support the transition to sustainable agriculture. This encompasses:

- Agroecology and agricultural futures
- Innovative models in plant health
- Innovative digital and accounting tools for sustainable agriculture
- Models of environmental and societal sobriety
- Economic and regulatory approaches in sustainable agriculture
