This is a 6-day training on the emerging marketing research technique called "Experimental Auctions". It is a unique opportunity for students, researcher and practitioners to be introduced intto the fields of experimental economics and behavioral economics. The instructors are leading scientists in this area and excellent teachers. The 2018 course is the 7th edition of this Summer School.

Target group

The course is open to consultants, graduate students, PhD students, academics, and other practitioners, with a master’s degree in agriculture, economics, statistics, or equivalent degrees. Students with a bachelor degree who are preparing their master’s degree dissertation may also be exceptionally considered, depending on supervisor's recommendation.

Course aim

The summer school "Experimental Auctions: Theory and Applications in Food Marketing and Consumer Preferences Analysis" is aimed at learning the fundamentals and the recent advances of experimental auctions. The course provides the appropriate techniques to construct an experimental design, with software applications and workshops regarding specific problems in the fields of food market valuation. It will also provide the appropriate knowledge of the models used in the experimental auction literature for the data analysis. Results interpretation and policy implications will be also discussed.
