Due to the covid-19 outbreak, this course has been postponed to 2021.

The PhD/Summer school Mont-Soleil is dedicated to Advanced Methods and Technologies for integrated Renewable Energies. The extra-muros organisation of the course will include Field-Based Insights into the Implementation of renewable Energies

Total of 19 lecturers, 28 hours of lectures.
The course includes a part dedicated to environmental issues at University of Berne, with a visit to the high altitude research platform at Jungfraujoch (3800m) dedicated to long-term high altitude CO2 measurements

The outcome of the course is to understand the most important issues and field constraints on the integration of renewable sources and storage. The integration includes the energy management interface (power electronics) the storage and the control methods of the powe of Active Power Distribution Networks.

Course aim

Gaining knowledge about renewable energies in a practical environment by visiting different laboratories and existing power plants in the field of wind, PV and hydro power. Interrelationships and effects on the global climate and global warming.
