Fiestravaganza International Music Academy 2026

About

Join the fourth edition of the Fiestravaganza International Music Academy (FIMA) in Berlin, 23–31 July 2026, hosted at the University of the Arts Berlin (UdK). FIMA was founded in 2023 as Berlin’s first major international piano summer academy and has since grown into an interfaculty programme for talented young pianists and string players.

What makes FIMA special:

Individual masterclasses and coaching with renowned international professors and emerging ensembles.

Group workshops plus many chances to perform in solo, chamber, and orchestral concerts in UdK’s prestigious halls.

Exclusive access to Bechstein’s Vintage Keyboard Collection, allowing you to play both modern and historic instruments.

Strings & concerto opportunities:

Full strings integration (violin, viola, cello) alongside the piano programme.

Selected participants (enhanced participation) perform a piano or string concerto movement with Camerata Fiestravaganza, an orchestra of 50+ musicians from UdK, Hanns Eisler, and the Barenboim-Said Akademie.

Three concerto gala concerts in 2026 offer expanded orchestral opportunities for soloists.

Cultural & community highlights:

New Goethe-Institut collaboration with discounted German courses and a curated cultural programme (picnics, quiz evenings, open-air concerts) so you can discover Berlin while making friends.
