About

This course explores the intersections of planetary health’ food systems, climate change, and biodiversity while emphasizing the role of regenerative agriculture and indigenous knowledge in building resilient food systems

Target group

Enrolled as an undergraduate student or holder of an undergraduate diploma, including those pursuing advanced studies or professional careers.

Students attending this course should have basic knowledge of:
β€’ Environmental science and sustainability concepts
β€’ Climate change impacts and adaptation strategies
β€’ Fundamentals of food systems and agriculture

Course aim

By the end of the course, the students are expected to:
β€’ Understand the relationships between planetary health, food production, climate change, and biodiversity conservation.
β€’ Assess the impacts of intensive agriculture on planetary health and sustainability.
β€’ Evaluate regenerative agricultural models and their potential for restoring ecosystems.
β€’ Apply interdisciplinary approaches to food system transformation and climate resilience.
β€’ Develop solutions that integrate ecological, social, and economic perspectives for sustainable food future
