The goal of the course is provide students with comprehensive knowledge about the foreign policies of Georgia since independence, its decision-making, determinants, priorities and challenges. The course aims at assisting students to understand the role of Georgia in regional politics, i.e. South Caucasus, Black Sea Region, South-East Europe, and beyond. On the basis of the Georgian case, the purpose of the course is to help students understand the place of a small, weak and dependent state in international system and how the regional powers affect Georgia’s foreign policy making and implementation.
