The Indiana University of Pennsylvania is offering a 6-week Forensic Archaeology Field School (ANTH 481) from 3 July–15 August 2021. Students will receive training on geophysical and geospatial methods and the excavation of a WWII aircraft crash site in Lower Saxony, Germany. This course is a hands-on, experiential learning opportunity that provides students a platform to enhance their archaeological field skills. Activities will include ground penetrating radar, metal detecting, unit excavation, photography, and mapping and documentation. Housing and meals are provided. Students must arrange their own travel to Hamburg, Germany and have a valid passport. Students must be enrolled in ANTH 481 to participate.
