German for Natural Sciences and Engineering

This course is intended for participants from technical and science-oriented professions and degree courses. Technical terms frequently used in industry, engineering and science as well as useful phrases and grammatical structures will be practised with the help of authentic reading and listening comprehension tasks. Through discussions, simulations and the compilation of subject-relevant texts, for example reports, essays and emails, students will improve their spoken and written German. The morning course can be complemented by daily practice at the modern language laboratory and by attending seminars and lectures in the afternoons. Day trips to the Black Forest and the Alsace Region of France are offered in addition to a varied program in and around Freiburg, organized by our dedicated student tutors.

Target group

This course requires a good to very good knowledge of German with a language level of B2 and higher.
