German Language and Culture

The course offers several classes at all language levels. The syllabus includes a variety of conversation practice and discussions, current listening and reading texts but also topics of your choice combined with modern and task-based grammar training. Specific study techniques such as reading strategies or presentation skills will also be practiced. The morning course consists of a total of 72 hours (18 x 4). The lessons can be complemented by daily practise at the modern language laboratory and by attending exercise courses, seminars and lectures in the afternoons. Day trips to the Black Forest and the Alsace Region of France are offered in addition to a varied program in and around Freiburg, organized by our dedicated student tutors.

This course is aimed at students who are interested in expanding their knowledge of the German language in daily lessons on an academic level.
