Global Justice and Sustainable Development

About

In 2015, the United Nations 2030 Agenda for Sustainable Development was approved and the 17 Sustainable Development Goals (SDGs) are guiding its implementation. The issues addressed by these goals are many and diverse: poverty, hunger, peace, health, education, inequalities, gender equality, economic prosperity, protection of the planet, the fight against climate change, cities and territories, energy, sustainable consumption and production...
The university, through teaching, research and dissemination, is a decisive space for reaching them and thinking critically about them, activating the different areas of knowledge involved. The ecological and social crises we are experiencing are great challenges that demand fair and sustainable responses. The course is based on the transversal knowledge that is necessary to face these challenges and the interdisciplinarity to be able to work together.
