The Luiss Summer University Program in Governing Cities in the XXI century gives participants the chance to understand major crises and potential for the future of cities. The course provides participants with a combination of analytical tools to study cities from legal, political and economic points of view while providing participants with an understanding of the challenging and controversial issues that governing a city implies in the twenty-first century.

Bachelor's degree students
The goal of this course is to provide participants with a body of knowledge to guide them through the observation and analysis of cities from an interdisciplinary, evidence-based and innovative approach to understand complex but incomplete systems known as cities. The course focuses on the following topics: cities’ role in global governance, international law and city diplomacy, urban economics and management, urban law and governance, urban technology and smart cities, urban journalism and storytelling.
